just a few things
About Demi
Demi has always loved the camera whether it is the still or moving one. She started modelling as a child at the age of five, carved out a successful modelling career whilst still at school and then in her teens developed a passion and skill for presenting.
She has studied acting and presenting with Sandra Lee Paterson and in 2010 entered a competition for Chanel [V], the Global Animal competition which she ultimately won. The prize required her to blog, video blog and take photos behind the scenes on their travel show, B430 in France whilst also learning about TV presenting and production.
Her new found experience helped her secure a hosting role on the live game show Cash Call. The program aired on the Southern Cross Network across five nights and was also streamed on-line. With a natural flair for live TV, she challenged herself in the world of radio; Demi became a regular co-host on her local radio station, Northside Radio FM 99.3.
In 2014 Demi was at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia backstage interviewing designers for an online fashion magazine.
As well as modelling, TV presenting and DJing, Demi is also involved with numerous organisations and charity groups. She started writing blog posts for BITE BACK after leaving high school. BITE BACK was created by the Black Dog Institute and is a website for young teens to visit. It explores mental fitness and the positive things in life. Demi’s involvement in giving back extends to volunteering with a not-for-profit charity organisation called Birds of Passage since 2012. Advancing on that, in the last year she has joined the charities management team. Birds of Passage every week prepares and serves meals to the homeless and rough sleepers in Sydney’s Woolloomooloo area.
